(ranging between $1200-$1800)

Every mission trip will be unique and designed to cater to the team's strengths and the ministry's current needs. Teams will lead VBS activities with our children, deliver food to families in the villages, engage in door-to-door ministry, and work on various projects as needs arise. Your mission is to be a light for Christ and to serve Him whole-heartedly. We are so grateful to have you partner alongside us in the work that the Lord is faithfully doing.

Teams will immerse in local culture and customs, try local cuisine, and shop in local markets. Each team will have the opportunity to go on a safari at the end of the week. Your team leader will contact you with the details of your choice between 2 different safari opportunities.

Trip Details

Before
You Apply

  • Age requirements at this time are 18 and older, due to the sensitive nature of the children within our program.

  • At this time, in order to enter Kenya, you must have a Covid vaccine or negative PCR test within 24 hours of travel. Visit the CDC for all updated information. Your team leader will also contact you with updated information regarding travel.

  • Mission teams engage in evangelism in the local villages of our children and their families. You will have the opportunity to be a part of door-to-door ministry with your team.

  • Yes, you do need a valid passport with at least 6 months until the expiration date.

  • Your team leader will process your visa for you prior to the trip.

  • Yellow fever vaccines are not required, but they are highly encouraged. Contact your local healthcare provider for a vaccine as soon as possible after trip registration, as vaccines can be hard to find.

  • Please refer to the CDC for the most current and up-to-date information regarding recommended and required vaccinations. Additionally, consult with your primary physician. We recommend being up to date on all routine vaccinations prior to travel.

  • All team members are required to take malaria medicine during their trip. We recommend Malarone or Doxycycline; however, please consult with your physician for his or her recommendation.

  • Yes, we highly encourage you to fundraise for your trip. You can fundraise individually or partner with other team members. We will provide a fundraising guide for you that you will receive upon registration.

  • There are two payment deadlines for your trip. Your first payment is due 1 month after registration. We cannot book your flight until we have received the first payment. The remaining trip balance is due 3 weeks prior to trip departure.

  • Trip costs include accommodations/lodging, 3 meals a day, local flights, and ground transportation. You will pay separately for international flights and for your safari experience.

  • At the time of every trip registration, a $100 non-refundable registration fee is required. This payment will be applied toward your overall trip costs. Any additional donations PMM receives toward the cost of the trip are non-refundable. We are aware of circumstances that may inhibit your ability to serve on a team; therefore, we have three options if you are unable to go on your team. The options include leaving funds in your account to be used on another trip, applying your donations toward another team member’s trip cost, or donating toward PMM's greatest areas of need. If you over-fundraise for your trip, the same policy applies.
